Cookies and Browser Storage

1. What this notice covers

This notice covers the current vonka.si public preview. Cookies are small files a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and identifiers used to recognise a browser.

Technical web requests and server logs are related privacy considerations, but they are not themselves browser cookies. Future product accounts and payment services will need information about their own storage practices before they open.

2. Current website inventory

The website’s own code sets no cookies. When you choose light or dark mode, it stores only that preference under vonka.site.theme in local storage. The value is light or dark, remains on your device until changed or cleared, and is not sent to us by the website code.

The website includes no advertising pixels, visitor analytics scripts, third-party media embeds, account sign-in or payment form. Its fonts, images, styles and scripts load from the same website. Ordinary browser caching may retain these files to make later visits faster; it is not a visitor-tracking feature.

3. Hosting and security

Hosting and network services process requests and security information to deliver the website and protect it from misuse. A hosting security feature may use an essential cookie or challenge if that feature is enabled; the actual name, purpose and lifetime depend on the feature. This does not mean every possible hosting cookie is present.

4. Your choices

Use the theme switch to change the saved preference, or your browser’s privacy settings to inspect and clear site data. Clearing it returns the website to your device’s preferred colour scheme. Blocking local storage may prevent your chosen theme from being remembered, but the public pages remain available.

There are no optional advertising or analytics cookies to enable in this version. Browser settings can also block cookies; blocking a security cookie, if one is used by the hosting service, may affect access. Clearing browser data does not necessarily delete separate server-side records.

If optional tracking or other storage is introduced, this notice and any required consent or choice controls will be updated before it is used.
